Hi! I’m Ileana, but you can call me Ily. I’m the Designer, Creative Director, and Founder of Ily the Plant Lady, a San Diego–based creative studio specializing in hands-on corporate team building workshops, interactive plant experiences, and custom succulent designs.

 

What began as a small creative outlet on my apartment patio - using succulent cuttings generously shared by friends and neighbors - has grown into a trusted studio serving corporate clients, organizations, and private customers throughout Chula Vista, San Diego County, and Southern California.

 

Since 2020, I’ve been dedicated to creating thoughtfully curated, high-quality plant experiences that bring people together. From employee appreciation events and wellness workshops to client activations and private celebrations, each event is designed to be inclusive, engaging, and stress-free; no green thumb required.

 

I’m known for my love of unique, whimsical, and chic planters, paired with carefully selected, fresh succulents. Every arrangement and workshop is made to order, allowing for customization that reflects each client’s vision, brand, or occasion. Custom projects are always welcome and encouraged.

 

Whether I’m leading a large corporate workshop or designing a one-of-a-kind arrangement, my goal is the same: to ensure every client and guest leaves feeling inspired, relaxed, and genuinely happy with their experience.

 

When I’m not playing in the dirt, you’ll find me spending time with my husband, our three kids, and our adorable dog, Zumi - usually with a plant (or two) nearby.
